Post Natal Blues

posted on 16 May 2009 | posted in Health Tips

If you are one of those women who blossomed during the latter months of pregnancy, but had a shaky start with early morning sickness, then you may well be a candidate for post partum blues. This inevitably means that your adrenal glands were low before you became pregnant. During pregnancy the baby supports the mother's flagging adrenal glands by passing these all important adrenal hormones to their Mum who then temporarly benefits. But when the baby is born, it too is depleted in adrenal and can go on to develop allergies etc. It is very preventable, but if you are currently suffering from post natal blues, there is help at hand. Click on the article for Hypoglycaemia - Low Blood Sugar and take at least three of the suggested supplements for nutritional support for the adrenal glands and make sure that at least one of them is a herbal formula.

Candida Albicans (see article CandidaAlbicans can also be a factor in post natal blues since the candida yeast can bind adrenal steroids so that the system cannot utilize them. It is therefore really important that stress and low adrenals (hypoadrenia) be actively sought and treated at least 6 months before trying to conceive.
